This is my first waffle maker so I don’t really have a comparison. Therefore the rating is more than subjective 😉
First of all, the recipe in the instructions did not work her. I had to add a lot more water so that the dough was somewhat liquid. But it was also my first try. The waffles are thicker than you are used to from “normal” waffle irons, but that is intentional. The baking itself is quick and easy, no overflowing, no re-greasing necessary.

  2. Daisy Sellers

I recently purchased the Cloer 171 Waffle-Maker and was inspired to do so after trying some delicious tempura fried cod made using a similar waffle iron at a local restaurant. I hoped to recreate the crispy goodness at home with this appliance.

The delivery of my Waffle-Maker to 1220 E 2100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84106, United States was prompt and hassle-free, which was a relief. Nothing is worse than waiting anxiously for a new kitchen gadget to arrive!

Now, let’s talk about the technical aspects that make the Cloer 171 Waffle-Maker unique. One standout feature is its depth, measuring 200 mm. This allows for thicker waffles and the ability to add more toppings or fillings. It’s perfect for those who crave a waffle with a substantial bite.

Although the depth is impressive, I found a couple of downsides with this particular model. Firstly, the waffle plates are not removable, making cleaning a bit of a challenge. Additionally, the non-stick coating wasn’t as effective as I had hoped, resulting in some sticking and the occasional broken waffle.

Despite these drawbacks, the Cloer 171 Waffle-Maker still managed to produce decently-shaped and tasty waffles. I appreciate its durability and sturdiness, as it feels like it will last for a long time.

In conclusion, I give the Cloer 171 Waffle-Maker a rating of 3 out of 5. While it has some unique features, the lack of removable plates and inconsistent non-stick coating were disappointing. However, it still gets the job done when it comes to making delicious waffles at home.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I properly load ingredients onto the waffle plates for even cooking results using the Cloer 171 waffle maker?

To achieve even cooking results when using the Cloer 171 waffle maker, it's crucial to load your ingredients onto the waffle plates properly. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do this:

1. Preheat the waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. This typically takes around 5 minutes. While the machine is heating up, measure out your desired amount of batter or other filling ingredients (such as fruit or chocolate chips) into a separate bowl. Once the machine is hot, carefully open the lid and use a spatula to spread an even layer of batter or filling over each plate, making sure to cover the entire surface area. Close the lid gently and let the waffles cook for 3-5 minutes, depending on the thickness of your batter and desired level of crispness. When the indicator light or audible beep goes off, use the included spatula to carefully remove the waffles from the plates. Be careful not to break them apart!

By following these simple steps, you should be able to achieve consistently delicious and evenly cooked waffles every time you use your Cloer 171 waffle maker.
