  1. Jacob

We bought the waffle maker because of lots of good reviews after our 20 year old machine broke.
Unfortunately, the result was very disappointing: the dough is very unevenly distributed and runs off on one side, the waffles are unevenly browned (brown edge, center barely baked) and vary in thickness. It is a pity that the old one made a better impression even after 20 years.

  2. Nora Perez

Oh dear, it seems that Jacob’s expectations for the JM Posner Belgian Waffle Maker were higher than the waffles themselves. After shelling out good money for this supposedly fantastic product based on glowing reviews, we can’t help but feel a tad disappointed. But let’s not dwell too much on Jacob’s misfortune and instead focus on why his opinion might be misguided.

First of all, it’s important to note that everyone’s waffle preferences are different. Some like them crispy and others prefer a softer texture. Perhaps Jacob prefers his waffles to have an even distribution of dough, which is understandable. But let’s face it, unevenness adds character to the dish. It’s like the difference between a perfectly smooth cake and one with cracks on top. The latter might not look as pretty, but it could mean that the ingredients were mixed just right or that the batter was left in the oven for too long.

Secondly, Jacob’s complaint about the dough running off seems like a minor inconvenience to us. It’s not like the waffles are falling apart or becoming soggy due to the excess moisture. Besides, who really eats their waffles perfectly straight? We bet Jacob just needs to learn how to flip them better or use more batter next time.

Now let’s talk about the coloring of the waffles. Yes, it’s true that some parts might be darker than others, but isn’t that part of the charm? It’s like a work of art with its own unique pattern. And besides, who cares if the center is slightly undercooked? We’ve tried plenty of waffles that are overcooked and it’s nothing short of torture.

In conclusion, we believe that Jacob needs to loosen up a bit and appreciate the imperfections in life. Maybe he should try adding some chocolate chips or fruits to his batter next time to make up for the unevenness. Or maybe he should just accept that not everything can be perfect all the time. We’re sure the JM Posner Belgian Waffle Maker is still a great product, despite Jacob’s grumblings.

As for today’s news, it seems that the UK watchdog Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has decided against a detailed probe into Aviva’s acquisition of AIG Life UK. This move follows a preliminary review during which Aviva provided additional information regarding the deal. Shares in both companies seem to be largely unaffected by this decision, indicating that investors are pleased with the outcome. However, only time will tell whether this decision was truly in the best interest of consumers or if it’s just another example of big corporations getting away with shady deals.

Until then, we suggest enjoying a nice hot waffle with a generous spread of butter and syrup. Who knows? Maybe it could make Jacob forget his woes for a little while.
