Description

The Philips GC7805 steam iron is a cutting-edge appliance designed to offer users an effortless ironing experience. It is specially crafted to make ironing easier, faster, and more efficient, with an array of features that deliver exceptional ironing results for every textile type. Here’s an in-depth review of this steam iron:

Design

The Philips GC7805 steam iron features a unique design that offers users maximum comfort and convenience. It has a compact and lightweight build that makes it easy to handle and maneuver, compared to traditional irons that can be bulky and heavy. The iron’s soleplate is made of high-quality ceramic that effortlessly glides on fabrics, while the iron’s ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, reducing wrist strain.

Steam Output

One of the Philips GC7805 steam iron’s most impressive features is its high steam output, which ensures that even stubborn wrinkles are easily removed from clothes. The iron has a continuous steam output of up to 45g/min and a maximum steam boost of 210g, which means that it can tackle even the most challenging creases with ease. The steam output also has a precision tip that reaches challenging areas such as buttonholes, collars, and seams.

Water Tank

The steam iron has a relatively large water tank that can hold up to 300ml of water. This eliminates the need for frequent refills and allows users to focus on ironing instead of worrying about refilling the water tank constantly. Additionally, the water tank is removable, making it easy to refill and clean.

Anti-Calc System

The Philips GC7805 steam iron comes with an integrated anti-calc system that prevents limescale buildup from clogging the iron. The system works by collecting scale that forms during ironing into a container that can be easily emptied, improving the iron’s longevity and performance.

Ease of Use

The Philips GC7805 steam iron is quite easy to use. With its easy-to-reach controls, users can adjust the steam and temperature settings to suit different types of fabrics. The iron also has a vertical steam function that allows users to freshen up hanging garments, such as curtains and drapes, without having to take them down.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Philips GC7805 steam iron is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a fast, efficient, and convenient ironing experience. Its high steam output, anti-calc system, and large water tank make it the ideal iron for large households or heavy ironing tasks. Its ergonomic design and easy-to-use features also offer additional comfort and convenience, making ironing a breeze.

  1. Jacob

As Jacob, I recently purchased the Philips GC7805 steam iron and have been quite disappointed with my experience thus far. While the 120% steam capacity and 1500 ml water tank sound impressive on paper, they haven’t lived up to expectations.

Firstly, the steam output is quite underwhelming. Despite claiming to have 120% steam capacity, the steam output is barely noticeable and doesn’t seem to make much of a difference on the fabrics. The iron also lacks a steam boost function, which makes it difficult to tackle stubborn wrinkles.

Secondly, the water tank is difficult to fill and empty. The opening is quite small, and the tank doesn’t come off easily. This makes the process of refilling water tedious and time-consuming.

When compared to other steam irons I’ve used in the past, the Philips GC7805 falls short. It doesn’t produce as much steam or have as many features as some of the other irons I’ve tried. Additionally, I find the overall design to be clunky and awkward to maneuver.

Overall, I would rate the Philips GC7805 at 2 stars out of 5 possible. While the steam capacity and water tank size are impressive, the iron fails to deliver on performance and user experience. I would recommend looking for other options in the market that offer better value for money and performance.

  2. Kameron

I recently purchased the Philips GC7805 steam iron and overall, it has fulfilled my expectations at about 80 percent. As someone who prioritizes efficiency and convenience, I was in search of a steam iron that could provide excellent results without any hassle. The Philips GC7805 has definitely proven to be a reliable choice in this regard.

One common problem that people often face with steam iron setups is the difficulty in getting the steam to work properly. However, with the Philips GC7805, I found the steam production to be consistent and powerful. The iron heats up quickly and provides a continuous steam flow, effortlessly removing even the toughest of wrinkles from my clothes. This enhanced performance can be attributed to the innovative OptimalTEMP technology that ensures optimal temperature settings for every fabric type.

Being a resident of Exeter, UK, I was particularly drawn to the Philips GC7805 because of its power efficiency, which helps in saving our planet’s resources. The iron is designed with Eco mode, which automatically saves energy by reducing the steam output without compromising on ironing quality. This feature aligns perfectly with my commitment towards sustainable living and reducing my carbon footprint.

I first came across the Philips GC7805 steam iron while browsing through a local store situated on Stocker Rd, Exeter EX4 4SZ, United Kingdom. The staff at the store were incredibly knowledgeable and helped me understand the features and benefits of the iron. It was also reassuring to hear that Philips, as a brand, is actively involved in promoting eco-friendly technologies.

Comparing the amateur and professional use of the Philips GC7805, it is evident that both can benefit greatly from this iron. For amateurs, it provides a user-friendly experience with its lightweight design and easy maneuverability. Weighing only 1.2 kg, it is comfortable to handle and reduces the strain on the arm during prolonged ironing sessions.

On the other hand, professionals can appreciate the efficiency and time-saving capabilities of the Philips GC7805. The powerful steam output, coupled with its quick heating feature, enables faster ironing of larger piles of garments. This is particularly useful for individuals running a laundry or needing to iron multiple outfits in a short amount of time.

Overall, the Philips GC7805 steam iron has certainly met most of my expectations. Its superior steam production, eco-friendly features, and overall performance make it a reliable choice for anyone seeking a powerful and efficient iron. Whether you are an amateur or a professional, this iron caters to your ironing needs effectively while being lightweight and easy to use.
