I bought the equipment because I really like cooking and baking, and after a shoulder injury, making yeast dough, for example, hurt me. The robot has a wide range of use, I used it to make all kinds of creams, butter, proteins, Pavlov’s meringue, all masses were always fluffy and did not fall. My daughter bought it earlier, but I borrowed it so often from her that I finally had to get my own equipment. 🙂 Thanks to this robot, cooking is much shorter, the paddles change very easily, and the bowl is large and easy to clean. I recommend with all my heart.

I bought the Kitchenaid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER in March and I have to say, I am not impressed. Despite the promise of 500 W power, this mixer falls short in both performance and durability. As a professional in the food industry, I rely on my mixer to handle heavy workloads and this mixer just can’t keep up.

The product type – a food mixer – makes it seem like it should be able to handle a variety of tasks, but unfortunately, it falls short. While it may be suitable for occasional use in a home kitchen, I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for anything professional.

Compared to other mixers on the market – such as the Kenwood Chef or the Breville stand mixer – the Kitchenaid Artisan simply does not match up. Both of these mixers offer more power, more versatility, and better durability.

To make matters worse, the delivery process was quite frustrating. I had to wait weeks for the mixer to arrive in St. Petersburg, which seems excessive considering the brand’s popularity and widespread availability. Overall, I would not recommend the Kitchenaid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER to anyone looking for a reliable and powerful stand mixer.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I properly assemble the KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER stand mixer and attach the accessories for first-time use?

Unpack all the components of your KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER stand mixer from their boxes. Ensure that you have all the necessary parts, including the base unit, the bowl, the wire whip, dough hook, flat beater, and the clear cover for the mixing chamber. Begin by attaching the bowl to the base unit. Align the notches on the underside of the bowl with the protrusions on the base unit's mixing arm. Push the bowl down firmly until it clicks into place. Next, attach the wire whip accessory to the mixer's power hub. Ensure that the wires from the accessory are correctly aligned with the corresponding slots in the hub. Twist the wire whip onto the hub until you hear a clicking sound signifying a secure fit. To connect the dough hook, align the notches on the bottom of the hook with those on the mixing arm's lower section. Push the hook down firmly into place until it clicks into position. Finally, attach the flat beater to the mixer's power hub by aligning its tabs with the corresponding slots. Once you hear a clicking sound, you can pull the flat beater away from the mixer to confirm that it is securely attached. Before using your KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER stand mixer for the first time, make sure that all the attachments are firmly connected and that they do not wobble or move during operation. This will ensure maximum safety and efficiency of your mixer's performance. When attaching or removing accessories from your KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER stand mixer, always make sure to disconnect the machine from its power source to avoid accidents or electrical shocks.

"How do I properly attach the dough hook to my Kitchenaid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER mixer?"

Begin by ensuring that your KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER mixer is unplugged and the speed control lever is in the center or "zero" position. This will prevent any potential electrical hazards while you are attaching the dough hook. Locate the dough hook attachment, which should come with your mixer. The dough hook has a rounded end that tapers to a point. Align the ball-bearing shaft of the mixer with the slot in the center of the dough hook. Make sure the shaft is completely inserted into the socket located on the bottom of the mixer. Push down gently on the dough hook until it clicks into place. This indicates that the attachment has been securely fastened to the mixer. Double-check that the dough hook is properly attached by lightly pulling up on it. If it does not release easily or moves only slightly, it is correctly installed. Plug in your KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER mixer and proceed with using the dough hook for your baking needs. Remember to always follow the manufacturer's instructions when attaching any attachments to your KitchenAid mixer, as each attachment may have slightly different methods of installation.

How do I troubleshoot my Kitchenaid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER mixer that won't start after being in storage for an extended period of time?

After a prolonged period of storage, it is possible that your KitchenAid Artisan 5KSM7580XEER mixer may fail to start. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

1. Check the power source: First, ensure that the mixer is plugged into a working electrical outlet. If you're using an extension cord, make sure it's rated for the correct wattage and length. Inspect the motor capacitor: The capacitor stores energy to help start the motor. Over time, it can lose its charge or become damaged, preventing the mixer from starting. Remove the motor cover and check the capacitor visually for any signs of damage, such as cracks, bulges, or discoloration. If you're not comfortable doing this, consult the manufacturer's manual or a professional for assistance. Test the capacitor: You can use a multimeter to test the capacitor's voltage and resistance. The voltage should be around 150-200V when the mixer is plugged in but not turned on. If the voltage is low, it could indicate a faulty capacitor that needs to be replaced. Clean the contacts: Over time, dirt and debris can accumulate on the motor's electrical contacts, preventing the mixer from starting. Use a soft-bristled brush or a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts thoroughly. Check the fuses: The mixer has two fuses located near the power cord. Inspect them for any signs of damage or wear, and replace them if necessary. Call for professional help: If you've tried these steps and the mixer still won't start, it may be a more serious issue that requires professional assistance. Contact KitchenAid's customer service or a certified technician for further guidance.
