1 review for Morphy Richards MyPot Pressure Cooker

  1. Serge Cottom

He is so cute 🙂 I like him a lot and I can’t imagine a day without him. At the beginning, the machine requires some getting used to it, but the settings make it easier to prepare everyday meals after some time. I cooked a great bean risotto – it turned out to be a feast. Soft and fluffy rice, cooked beans, steamed chicken. I love this kitchen help. Most importantly, it’s easy to clean (one pot) and I love this design.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I safely operate and cook with my Morphy Richards MyPot Pressure Cooker?

To safely operate and cook with your Morphy Richard's MyPoT pressure cooker, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the pressure release valve is in the sealed position before you start cooking.
2. Add ingredients into the pot according to the recipe instructions or manufacturer's guide. Do not overfill the pot as it can cause food to spill out when pressure builds up inside the cooker.
3. Place the lid on the pressure cooker and make sure it's locked in place by turning the top knob clockwise until it clicks.
4. Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet and turn on the heat source to high. Allow the pressure to build up inside the cooker before starting to cook. You will hear a hissing sound, which indicates that the pressure has reached the required level.
5. Once the pressure has built up and the valve starts releasing steam, reduce the heat to maintain an even temperature. Keep an eye on the pressure gauge to ensure it stays within safe limits during cooking.
6. When the cooking time is complete, turn off the heat source and allow the pressure to release naturally for a few minutes before using the quick-release method by turning the top knob counterclockwise until it opens completely. Be careful of hot steam that may escape when releasing the pressure.
7. Carefully remove the lid after the pressure has been released, using oven mitts or a dry towel to protect your hands from the hot surface.
8. Use tongs or a long-handled utensil to remove any remaining ingredients from the cooker and serve them on plates or bowls.
9. Clean the MyPoT pressure cooker according to the manufacturer's instructions, which usually involve washing it with warm soapy water and wiping down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the electrical cord in water.

How do I properly clean and maintain my Morphy Richards MyPot Pressure Cooker to ensure optimal performance?

To clean and maintain your Morphy Richards MyPot Pressure Cooker, follow these steps:

1. Always allow the cooker to cool down completely before cleaning. This will prevent any burns or accidents that may occur due to hot surfaces. Remove the inner pot and lid from the cooker. Disassemble the valve by removing the rubber gasket and spring, followed by the stainless steel cap. Wash all these parts separately with soap and water, ensuring that they are completely free of any food particles or debris. Use a soft sponge or cloth to clean the inner pot thoroughly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads as these can scratch the non-stick surface. Clean the exterior of the cooker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water, and avoid using harsh chemicals or detergents that may damage the surface. Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembling them. This will prevent any moisture buildup that can lead to rusting or corrosion. Store the cooker in a dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Regularly check the sealing ring around the lid for any signs of wear or damage. If it looks worn out, replace it immediately to ensure a tight seal during cooking. After each use, allow the pressure release valve to cool down before removing the lid. This will prevent any hot steam from burning you. Store the cooker in a dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Finally, periodically check the gasket around the lid for any damage or wear. If it appears worn out, replace it immediately to ensure a tight seal during cooking. By following these steps, you can ensure that your Morphy Richards MyPot Pressure Cooker remains in optimal condition and performs at its best every time you use it.

How do I know when my Morphy Richards MyPot pressure cooker has reached pressure and is ready to cook?

The Morphy Richards MyPot pressure cooker has a built-in safety system that ensures it reaches the correct pressure before starting the cooking process. Here's how you can tell if your pressure cooker has reached pressure and is ready to cook:
1. Place the lid on the cooker securely and turn the control knob to the "Pressure" position. The green indicator light will flash, indicating that the cooker is heating up and building pressure. Once the green indicator light stops flashing and turns solid, it means that the pressure cooker has reached the correct pressure for cooking. Now you can adjust the temperature control knob to the desired setting and start your recipe. When the cooking time is up, turn off the heat source, wait for the pressure to release naturally (around 10 minutes), then open the lid carefully. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and guidelines for safe use of the Morphy Richards MyPot pressure cooker.
